Because Planning Ahead Can Make Unexpected Repairs Easier to Navigate.

At Orozco Auto Sales, we understand that owning a vehicle comes with both freedom and responsibility.

Even a carefully inspected and maintained pre-owned vehicle may experience unexpected mechanical problems.

For customers who want to explore additional financial protection against certain repair costs, independent vehicle service contract providers may offer options worth researching.

Our goal is to help you understand what these products are, what questions to ask, and how to make an informed decision.

Knowledge Is One of the Best Tools You Can Take on the Road.

What Is an Extended Vehicle Service Contract?

Understanding Additional Repair Protection

An extended vehicle service contract is an optional agreement that may provide payment or reimbursement for certain covered mechanical repairs, subject to the contract's terms.

These products are sometimes marketed as extended warranties, although they are generally separate service contracts rather than manufacturer warranties or the statutory warranty provided by Arizona law.

Depending on the provider and plan, coverage may address selected components such as:

  • Engine components.

  • Transmission components.

  • Certain drivetrain components.

  • Electrical systems.

  • Heating and air conditioning systems.

  • Other specifically listed mechanical components.

Coverage varies significantly by contract.

A service contract does not mean every breakdown, repair, maintenance expense, or replacement part will be covered.

Why Some Customers Explore Extended Protection

Preparing for the Unexpected

Unexpected repairs can affect a household budget.

Some customers choose to research extended vehicle protection because they prefer a defined contract that may help with eligible repair expenses.

Others prefer to save independently for future maintenance and repairs.

Neither approach is automatically right for everyone.

The most important consideration is whether the cost, coverage, exclusions, and claims procedures fit your individual needs.

The Right Decision Is the One You Understand Before You Commit.

Independent Providers You May Research

Customers interested in optional vehicle service contracts may independently explore companies such as:

  • Endurance

  • CARCHEX

  • CarShield

  • Premier Auto Protect

  • American Dream Auto Protect

These names are provided solely as examples of companies customers may choose to research.

Orozco Auto Sales does not sell, administer, underwrite, guarantee, or endorse service contracts from these providers.

We are not affiliated with these companies, and their inclusion does not represent a recommendation, verification of current offerings, or assurance of eligibility.

Provider availability, reputation, coverage, pricing, and terms may change.

Customers should independently verify a company's credentials, current offerings, and suitability before entering into any agreement.

Important Questions to Ask Before Purchasing Coverage

Read the Details, Not Just the Advertisement

Before purchasing any optional vehicle service contract, we encourage you to ask:

1. What components are actually covered?

Review the exact list of covered systems and parts.

2. What is excluded?

Ask about wear and tear, preexisting conditions, maintenance items, modifications, and other exclusions.

3. Is there a waiting period?

Some contracts require a specified period or mileage before certain coverage begins.

4. What deductible applies?

Understand what you may need to pay for each covered repair or claim.

5. Can I use my preferred repair facility?

Confirm whether the provider requires an approved repair shop or prior authorization.

6. How are claims handled?

Ask whether the provider pays the repair facility directly, reimburses you, or requires other steps.

7. Are there vehicle eligibility limits?

Age, mileage, condition, and vehicle history may affect eligibility.

8. What are the cancellation and refund terms?

Review cancellation deadlines, fees, and any refund calculations.

9. What is the total cost?

Compare the complete contract price, payment obligations, deductibles, and possible uncovered expenses.

10. Who is legally responsible for fulfilling the contract?

Identify the administrator, obligor, and any insurer or reimbursement arrangement described in the agreement.

Extended Protection Is Not a Replacement for Maintenance

Protecting Your Vehicle Starts With Everyday Care

Even with an optional service contract, regular vehicle maintenance remains important.

Most contracts contain requirements or exclusions related to maintenance, neglect, misuse, or continued operation after a mechanical problem becomes apparent.

We encourage customers to follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule, keep service records, and address warning signs promptly.

Routine maintenance, tires, brakes, batteries, and other wear-related items may be excluded unless a specific contract expressly provides otherwise.

Always read the actual agreement rather than relying solely on a sales presentation.

How Does This Relate to Arizona's Used Vehicle Warranty?

Different Protections. Different Responsibilities.

Arizona's limited implied warranty for qualifying used vehicle sales generally applies for 15 days or 500 miles after delivery, whichever comes first, under A.R.S. § 44-1267.

That statutory protection exists independently of any optional third-party service contract.

Purchasing or declining an extended vehicle service contract does not eliminate nonwaivable rights under Arizona law.

An independent service contract has its own terms, coverage conditions, claims process, and responsible provider.

These Are Separate Forms of Protection and Should Not Be Confused.

Does Orozco Auto Sales Handle Extended Protection Claims?

Understanding Who Is Responsible

Orozco Auto Sales does not sell or administer the independent service contracts described on this page.

We do not determine eligibility, approve claims, guarantee payment, or promise that our on-site repair facility will be accepted by an independent contract provider.

Customers who purchase protection directly from a third party should contact that provider for contract questions, coverage determinations, claims, cancellations, and repair facility authorization.

Our on-site repair facility primarily supports dealership-related work and is not a general public repair shop.

Make an Informed Choice

Your Vehicle. Your Budget. Your Decision.

We believe customers deserve the freedom to research their options without pressure.

Optional extended vehicle protection may be useful for some owners, but it is not a guarantee against every repair expense.

Take your time, compare written agreements, understand the limitations, and decide whether the benefits justify the cost.

At Orozco Auto Sales, we believe that providing useful information is another way to support responsible vehicle ownership.

A Confident Journey Begins With an Informed Decision.
